is an Austrian type and graphic designer and a graduate of ÉCAL’s Master Type Design programme. His practice – Office of Personal Responsibility – moves between type design, graphic design, and digital work. With a background in graphic design – including studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp – Maximilian has developed typefaces, books, identities and occasionally websites for cultural and commercial clients such as Netflix, Aarhus School of Architecture, MuseumsQuartier Wien, and the Heidi Horten Collection. Alongside his studio work, he is active in teaching and lecturing, with engagements including a teaching assistant position at ÉCAL, guest lectures at institutions such as Pratt Institute in New York, and organizing workshops, among others at VERA skole for kunst & design in Copenhagen.
