Lucifer_TitleCard_Detail

Lucifer is a straightforward low-contrast grotesque, featuring several characteristic glyphs, such as its distinctive L, the scorpio-tail S and a selection of reversed letterforms.

Drawings are based on its inheritance: Lucifer (Luzifer), latin name of the Morning Star (Venus). Literally translated Lucifer means carrier of light; once a radiant angel, who has become the dreaded prince of darkness. A darkness visible in aggressively shaped characters with mystical scythe inktraps and unique qualities in every individual glyph combining form and origin, a glowing star at the horizon, high up in the sky.

Frequently Asked Questions

Type of Licenses

We offer two main licensing types: Print licensing and Web licensing. Find more information about each licensing type on this page.

What is the Print License?

It allows you to install the font files on a Desktop Computer, in order to create print documents as well as static images and logotypes for print and screen. Its price is based on the number of computers you install the fonts onto.

What is the Web License?

A Web License allows for embedding the font files into a website. The license is priced per one domain and traffic, and has to be upgraded once traffic increases.

Are there other licensing options?

Yes. If the licensing options on this website are not sufficient for your project, please reach out via email for a bespoke licensing option.

General

Do you offer Student Discounts?

Students only pay a symbolic price of €10,- per style. Please get in touch.

Where can I get Trial Typefaces?

We offer trial versions of our typefaces, which cover A-Z, a-z and 0-9. Happy test drive!

What File Formats do you support?

We provide .otf files for Print embedding, and .woff for Web Browsers. Most of the formats which people request (.eot, .svg, .ttf) are outdated and not necessary anymore today. However, we can generate .ttf files in case they are really needed.

How can I embed your webfonts into my website?

Webfont embedding is handled via CSS. A detailed manual on how to embed webfonts can be found here. If you have trouble embedding webfonts, don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Which Payment Methods do you support?

All payments are handled via PayPal. On request we’re also happy to offer you the option of paying via bank transfer.

Who should cover the cost of typeface licenses?

The individual or institution for who the design is for: the client, not the designer. Adding typeface licensing costs to your initial quote right from the start helps avoiding confusion or problems with clients during the project.

Custom Typefaces

Can I commission you to modify one of your fonts?

Yes of course. Please get in touch.

Do you offer custom typefaces?

We accept commissions for bespoke typeface projects. If you are interested, we are happy to discuss details via mail. Please provide us with as many details as possible as well as a time frame.

End User License Agreement

What is the EULA?

By receiving, purchasing, downloading, installing, using or otherwise handling our fonts, you accept the terms of this agreement. This agreement replaces and supersedes any previously made oral or written proposals or agreements between you and Maximilian Inzinger. If you do not accept the terms, you cannot download, request or use our fonts.

Do not share, distribute, illegally copy, steal from a licensed user or re-sell our fonts.

Purchased fonts will always remain copyrighted to us.

The purchase of a font makes the buyer a licensed user of the font, not an owner. The font may only be used for the specific amount of users (desktop licenses) or page views (web licenses) purchased.

Fonts are allowed to be passed onto a pre-press service or printer for output only. Contractors are not allowed to actively create new documents with fonts that have been passed on for output only. If any modification is to be made by a non-licensee, a new licence must be purchased for that user.

Embedding of the font software in other software or devices or in any other form whatsoever requires the purchase of a special license. Please contact us to discuss further details.

We do not allow users to make modifications to our fonts. You must contact us to discuss any modifications as a bespoke project.

The use of our fonts in any racist, homophobic, transphobic or sexist context is prohibited.

We try to produce our fonts to the highest standards. If you do experience any difficulties with our fonts, we will do everything that we can to work with you to resolve any issues. We do not take on any liability in this transaction. You are using the fonts at your own risk.

Any breach of the terms of this agreement shall be cause for termination. We will pursue with legal action if you are found to be using our fonts illegally.

We reserve the right to update our licence agreement at any time without prior consent or notice.
